Senior Development Professional - Bilingual
Seeking a senior development professional based in Jerusalem with periodic travel (15-25%).

The position will cover the USA and share responsibility for developing new fundraising opportunities and innovative approaches to geographic, community and affinity organizing. The position will not only cover a geographic region but also develop strategic approaches for new target groups including young leaders, women’s philanthropy circles, religious communities, professional affinities and more. The position includes planning of fundraising activities, direct donor solicitation, relationship development, major gift fundraising, pipeline prospecting and special events.


• Bachelor’s degree
• 5-10 years relevant experience.
• A deep knowledge of and familiarity with the civic, social and economic complexities of Israel’s capital and largest city.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and meet rolling deadlines while working within a team that spans multiple reporting structures and time zones.
• Demonstrated ability to set and meet fundraising targets.
• Knowledge of the U.S. and Israeli philanthropic markets with a proven network and understanding of trends.
• Demonstrated warmth, charisma and relationship-building ability.
• Experience working with international organizations, municipal and federal government authorities, and multi-laterally with other institutional philanthropies focusing on Israel.
• Strong communication skills including ability to write and speak persuasively about the organization and ability to communicate cross-departmentally in Jerusalem and overseas.
• Willingness to travel abroad on a frequent basis – (15-25%).
• Fluent written and spoken communications skills in Hebrew and English
