An organization in Ramat Beit Shemesh whose mission is to help children with their emotional, social, educational and spiritual needs, is seeking an Executive Director/CEO whose mission will be to take the organization to the next level by strategically working to create new and bigger partnerships within the community and beyond.

The Executive Director will continue to be responsible for overseeing the administration and programs, but will focus heavily on devising and implementing a strategic plan which will include fundraising, marketing, community outreach, and representation to the outside world. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Board Governance: Works with, and under the guidance of, the Board to fulfill our mission.

2) Financial Performance and Viability: Responsible for the processes which ensure the financial health of the organisation including the budget process, compliance. A key function will be to manage the fundraising process and to create new streams of revenue.

3) Organization Mission and Strategy: Works with board and staff to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning and community outreach. Key function will be to create new partnerships with similar organizations both locally and globally.

4) Organization Operations. Ensure that operations run smoothly and its resources are allocated in an efficient and effective manner, including but not limited to management of senior staff., establishing employment and administrative policies and procedures for all functions and for the day-to-day operation of the organisation and reviewing and approving contracts for services.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will be or have:

Strong leadership qualities and be a person of high integrity
Five or more years senior nonprofit management experience
Have strong knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to the nonprofit sector
Solid, hands-on, budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting
Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to interface and engage diverse volunteer and donor groups
Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff
Strong public speaking ability
Bi Lingual
Motivational – staff & outside world
The ability to learn quickly

Compensation commensurate with experience and other qualifications.
