Content Marketing Manager
This role owns the development of an editorial calendar and the creation of related formats to support the publishing frequency required to build inbound traffic and engagement. He or she is responsible for maintaining blogs, whitepapers, brochures, blog strategy, and publishing. This individual also is responsible for publishing content to other parts of the Web site, building and testing landing pages, and activating content through organic and paid social tactics.


Use audience insights, personas, keyword research, messaging themes, campaign plans, competitive information and content performance analytics to build a blog editorial calendar and create related content
Create a steady stream of primary and derivative asset types that can be leveraged across various channels and use cases
Engage and collaborate with cross-functional participants as needed to support content ideation, creation
Execute keyword research and define a keyword universe that aligns with audience needs, business priorities and inbound traffic goals, collaborating with a search engine optimization (SEO) agency/contractor as needed
Publish and activate content within a Web content management system or other tools
Implement, support and evangelize content marketing practices
Collaborate with marketing program owners, content strategists and/or campaign managers to integrate and repurpose content marketing and campaign content where appropriate
Collect, analyze and report on content marketing success via standard content marketing–related KPIs, using Web analytics tools, marketing automation platforms, social media management tools, content marketing software and business intelligence platforms to inform and optimize ongoing content marketing efforts


Ability to understand, digest and articulate complex concepts for mass consumption via engaging content
Excellent research and interviewing skills
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new business domain knowledge to content strategy and asset creation
Strong writing and editing skills
Keyword research skills and basic technical SEO knowledge
Ability to work in a Web content management system
Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to juggle multiple projects successfully and prioritize tasks effectively
Proficient in promoting content via social media
